For us to come to the Father through Jesus … it wasn’t enough for Him to be the Messiah who would become King of Kings. It wasn’t enough for Him to be the Messiah, the Son of the one true God.  He also had to be the Messiah, born as the sacrificial Lamb who would be crucified to human death.  Upon death, His body was then likely anointed with myrrh infused oil (just like the myrrh brought by the three wise men) and wrapped with cloths. Do you recognize and honor the Christ child (Jesus) for the ultimate sacrifice He He came to earth to make for you?
