We don’t become sinless when we say yes to following Jesus – sin continues in our lives. Jesus breaks the power of sin in our lives, but He doesn’t remove the presence of sin in our lives.  It is why He is so clear about how to deal with the presence of sin in our lives.  And why it must become a regular discipline of being a disciple – a discipline called confession and repentance.
