Why do we pray?  We were made to be in relationship with God, and prayer is our opportunity to talk with Him. Prayer is about being present with God.  Jesus prayed, and the disciples devoted themselves to prayer, so we need to as well.  Prayer proves our dependence on God, not only to Him but also to ourselves, and others.
